<div itemprop="description">It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Bertha &ldquo;Francis&rdquo; Thomson which occurred Sunday May. 17, 2015 at her residence. Born December 9, 1937 in Richmond, MO she was the daughter of the late David and Loretta (Viles) Downs. While living in Missouri Francis spent time with the United States Air Force as a 1st Airman and an Administrative Specialist. She will be sadly missed by sons Harry (Rosanne) Thomson of Queenstown, NB; John Thomson of Hampstead, NB; daughters Belinda Thomson of Saint John, NB, Tammy Williams (Wayne Keleher) of Saint John, NB; brother James &ldquo;Jim&rdquo; (Subie) Downs of Richmond, MO; brother-in-law Ernest Thomson of London, ON; grandchildren April Thomson, Jessica (Jeff Bastarache) Thomson, Adam Thomson, Sarah Thomson, Kayla Williams, Matthew Williams; great grandchildren Alexis Thomson, Abby Thomson, Christine Bastarache; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her loving husband Harry Thomson and sister-in-law Henny Thomson and daughter-in-law Sheila Lee.<br /><br /><br /><br />Resting at Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John (634-1701). Visitations will be held on Wednesday May 20, 2015 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held from Castle Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday May 21, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to take place at Church of the Good Shepherd Anglican Church Cemetery. Donations in Francis&rsquo;s memory can be made to the Heart &amp; Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society, Canadian Diabetes Association. <br /></div>
