<div itemprop="description">It is with deep sorrow the family announces the death of Marie Celina Ouellet on February 12, 2017 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Celina was born on September 26, 1921, the daughter of Onésime and Laura Nadeau. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and homemaker. Celina was a very talented seamstress, avid bingo player, long-time member of the Legion of Mary and the Queen of Peace Prayer Group, and she was a woman of great faith who attended Our Lady of the Assumption Church for 70 years. She had a wonderful sense of humour, loved to sing and dance, and it was very important for her that family be together on holidays, and special occasions. <br> <br>She is survived by her seven children: Shirley Ouellet (Yvon Labonne) of Maskinongé, QC; Gerald “Gerry” Ouellet (Linda) of Orleans, ON; Elizabeth “Betty” Ouellet of Saint John; Nancy Ouellet (Charles McKendy) of Saint John, Joanne Ouellet (Wayne Northrup) of Rothesay; Carol Bountalas (Tony) of Saint John; Susan Basque (Kevin) of Saint John; as well as, 17 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. <br> <br>Celina was predeceased by her husband Rene Ouellet, her parents, two sisters, one brother, two granddaughters and one great-granddaughter. <br> <br>The family are deeply appreciative and forever grateful to the staff of Murray Street Lodge Special Care Home, Grand Bay-Westfield, NB, for the care, compassion and comfort provided to our mother while living there. <br> <br>Arrangements are under the care of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John (634-1701). Visitation will be held on Friday, February 17, 2017 from 2:00pm – 4:00pm and 7:00pm – 9:00pm at Castle Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held from Our Lady of the Assumption Church on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at 12:00 noon. Donations in Celina’s memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of one’s choice. Online condolences can be made at www.castlefh.com. <br></div>
