<div itemprop="description"><br /><br /> Eugene William Janes passed away peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Feb. 10, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Dipper Harbour on Sept. 8, 1932, son of the late Percy and Edna (Craft) Janes. Eugene was the last surviving member of his immediate family. <br /><br />After retirement from a lengthy career with CP Rail Eugene embarked on a 10 year span of long haul trucking across North America faithfully serving Brookville Transport, Sunbury Transport and Woodstock Transport. <br /><br />Survived by sons Randall (Inna) of Hamilton ONT, Richard of Saint John; daughters Gwen (Jeff) Maguire of Saint John, Pam (Ernie) Dods of Kemptville ONT. Mother of his children Elva Janes of Saint John; grandchildren Greg (Laura) Maguire of Toronto, Natalie (Jake) Maguire of Saint John, Aaron (Barbara) Maguire of Ottawa, Katie Dods of Kemptville, Rachel Dods of Kemptville. Also survived by sisters - in - law Grace Janes, Kay Janes, Elizabeth Janes, Barbara Janes, Cathy Janes and several nieces and nephews. <br /><br />Besides his parents Eugene was predeceased by brothers Ronald, Harvey, Reginald, Kenneth, Howard, Dewey, Perry; sisters Whilemene, Elsie, Flora and Betty. <br /><br />The family wish to express thanks to the exceptional Palliative Care Team at the SJRH. Dad was made to feel so special.<br /><br />By his request there will be no visitation or service. He entrusted all to his ``Lord and Saviour``. The family will welcome relatives and friends at a small gathering on Thurs. Feb. 12, 2-4pm at the Castle &ldquo;Fallsview&rdquo; Funeral Home. <br /><br />Funeral arrangements are in care of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John, NB, E2M 2L3.<br /><br /></div>
