<div itemprop="description">It is with deep sorrow the family announces the death of Frank Girouard-Gerawh which occurred on February 26, 2017 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Frank was born on March 12, 1936 and was the son of James Joseph Gerawh and Mary Margaret Dwyer. Frank’s niece, Theresa Buck, was like a mother figure to him and her husband Brian and their daughter Jess were Frank’s caregivers. Frank was a part of the Labourers Union at the Port of Saint John, an avid weather watcher, and walked all over the westside. His favorite places were the Tim Horton’s in the mall and Bayshore Beach, where he would tan. <br> <br>He is survived by his brother James Girouard of Saint John, NB; sisters Ethel Beaulieu of Ontario, Nancy Demcie of Ontario, Hazel Maloney of Oromocto, NB, and Gail Gerawh of Ontario; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins. <br> <br>Frank was predeceased by his parents; brother William, and sisters Margaret Robertson and Betty Ann Hatfield. <br> <br>Arrangements are under the care of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John (634-1701). Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 from 7:00pm – 9:00pm and Wednesday, March 1, 2017 from 2:00pm – 4:00pm and 7:00pm – 9:00pm at Castle Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held from Our Lady of the Assumption Church on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at 12:00 noon. Interment will take place in Holy Cross cemetery. A reception will follow the burial, which will be held at Castle "Fallsview" Reception center. Donations in Frank’s memory can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Saint John SPCA Animal Rescue, or the charity of one’s choice.
