<div itemprop="description">Georgette Freemantle – It is with deep sadness the family announces the death of Georgette Yvonne Marie Freemantle which occurred on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at the Shannex Embassy Hall, Quispamsis, NB. Georgette was born on April 13, 1924 in Ottawa, Ontario. She is now reunited with her late husband, Alexander “Bruce” Freemantle (25 October 1920- 31 May 1995). Georgette was a daughter of the late George Raymond and Albina (Pommainville) Raymond. <br> <br>Georgette worked at Veterans Affairs Ottawa Office for 43 years, loved traveling, and was always up for an adventure. She has been all over the world and everywhere she went Georgette always made good friends. She volunteered at CNIB and was an active member of Centre Soleil in Ottawa. Georgette was an avid sports fan and had knitted toques for the original Ottawa Senators as part of the fan club. Most of all, she really enjoyed watching her grandson Austin play hockey. <br> <br>She is survived by son; Alan Bruce Freemantle and his wife Lisa Magee of Quispamsis, NB, grandson; Austin Bruce Freemantle and several nieces and nephews including a special niece Monique Kendall and her husband Mark who were always there for her. Georgette is predeceased by her brothers and sisters; Aldoria Raymond, Hector Raymond, Rene Raymond, Noella Lavergne, and Yvette Legault. <br> <br>Arrangements are under the care of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John (634-1701). A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Rothesay, N.B on Thursday November 24, 2016 at 11:00 am. Burial will take place in Ottawa at Kelly Funeral Homes Somerset Chapel in the spring 2017. Donations in Georgette’s memory can be made to the Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB), the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or a charity of one’s choosing. www.castlefh.com</div>
