<div itemprop="description">Walter Edward Tobin (Toby) peacefully passed away, in his sleep, at Bobby&rsquo;s Hospice on February 6, 2016 after a lengthy illness. Born in New Waterford, NS on March 17, 1940, he was the only son of Ellen (Grace) and Lewis Tobin. Walter was well known, especially around the West Side. He worked for many years driving truck for Karnes Bakery, and later on, he spend several years until retirement working behind the bar at Carleton # 2 Legion. He was an avid trout fisherman, and spent many days cruising the lakes of Southern New Brunswick. In addition to his parents, he was pre-deceased by his son Wayne in 2008. <br /><br /><br />Walter is survived, and will be missed, by his loving wife Yvette (Daigle), with whom he recently celebrated 50 years of marriage in January 2016. He is also survived by his son Gary (and Jackie) Tobin, daughter Tina (and Kayden) Milne, and daughter-in-law Angela Joyce-Tobin, along with his six grandchildren, Lauren &amp; Sean Tobin, Rebecca &amp; Andrea Tobin, and Ethan &amp; Cole Milne, as well as several special cousins, nieces and nephews.<br /><br /><br />Arrangements are under the care of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John (634-1701). Visitation will be held on Tuesday February 9, 2016 from 2:00 &ndash; 4:00 pm &amp; 7:00 - 9:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held from Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church (360 Dufferin Row) on Wednesday February 10, 2016 at 12:00noon.
