<div itemprop="description">Dwayne Austin Lomax of Little Lepreau (presently of Saint John), after a brief illness, went to be with his Lord and Saviour on Thursday April 20, 2017. Born in Little Lepreau, NB, in February 1947 to the late Austin and Mary (Merritt) Lomax, Dwayne was a devoted fiancé, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He worked as a fisherman, heavy equipment operator with local 946 Operating Engineers, and as a Paramedic and Transportation Officer for Saint John Ambulance. Dwayne was an associate member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 69, and a Poppy Campaign faithful supporter. Dwayne was a man with a pure heart who dearly loved his friends and they in turn dearly loved him. Those special friendships will live on eternally. <br> <br>Dwayne is survived by his devoted fiancé, Fay Yeomans Colwell of Saint John; precious sons Timothy, Dwight (Amanda), Jeff (Wendy); dear friends, Kelley Lomax, Monica Lomax, Veronica Taylor; his fiancé’s children, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his first wife, Judy Corey; his sisters, Joanne (Ross) McVicar, Cindy (Paul) Ryan, and Barb; brothers Gary and Mayford. He was loved and will be missed by several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by brother Marvin (in infancy), sister Diane, brother Glendon. <br> <br>A special thank you to Dr. Sean Keyes Sr., Dr. Sean Keyes Jr., Dr. Margot Burnell, Extra Mural Program and RN Heather Redding, Riley Home Care Teresa Maloney, Pastor and friend Daniel Sentner. <br> <br> <br>Resting at Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John (634-1701). Visitation will be held on Sunday April 23, 2017 from 2:00pm – 4:00pm & 7:00-9:00pm. There will be an associate-member Royal Canadian Legion Tribute at 7:00pm. A Funeral Service will be held from Castle Funeral Home Chapel on Monday April 24, 2017 at 11:00am. Interment will follow at Little Lepreau Cemetery.
